ALL right some time finally!!!!!!!!!!
1st the clutch, as Jerry said the ceramics are new and we actually have been running a set for about 2 months in an 80+ machine at 8400 for 50 hours in the ocean, bouys, cruising, etc. No problems so far and when pulled for constant measuring, they have definateley found something different in the composition and maybe in the "making" process that *looks* like the best thing yet, imo AND, as far as this style clutch is being used. That's all I have on the clutch, and it's enough to make me smile so far. I still like the simple design, that magic fomula may be here at last!
SINCE we are on clutches, the hardest machine on them is the RXP! The nature of the way it unhooks much more and is more prone to taking a beating. It is built for spitited riding
THE 2007 RXP will not disappoint! It is by far the best handling RXP to date, imo, and most of this is achieved with a new ergonomic layout. IT IS SUBTLE, till you ride it for teh RXP purest.
The angle of the steering head and they widdened the bars three inches! VERY much a machine that is more forgiving through rough.
OPAS "grab" is still there, but the new angled head will be on many older RXP's I predict, right after you ride one. That sweet. The fit and finish is standard Sea-Doo second to none. Many liked the new color choices some didn't, but they do seem to have a fit for most of the buying PWC public.
OK, here it is, the 155 RXP. Many are quick to discount this machine as I have seen posted and understandably so. All have their opinion and wants/needs from a machine.
Don't be decieved, it is a LIVELY accelerating machine and can go all day on fuel! The fun-factor IS there and this will allow the engine to be altered for more HP easily if wanted for the more aggressive rider/racers. If it wre '04 this machine would hyave been a contender for top-dog with lightest of mods, but we got something wicked in '04 that will be a "mark" till they need to change it. Fundamentally you have Power-Plant choices as opposed to color choices this year.
I need to go test and I'll return with more scoop and sorry I have been scarce around the boards. Spending all the time I can with my Dad.
ECU, will confirm for 100% Monday late Austin! GP
